Around Ruislip and the surrounding area there are ten miles of ancient woodland called Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve. This area comprises of four woods; Mad Bess Woods, Bayhurst Woods, Copse Woods, Park Woods and Poor's Field/Ruislip Common. It has 305 hectares or 755 acre and is the biggest single area of woodland in Greater London.
I have been able to watch and record many birds and animals that live in and visit the woods whilst walking through them every day with my dog. I hope you enjoy browsing through the photos and that it will encourage you to visit these wonderful woodlands.
