Birds

We had never seen so many different species of birds in one garden before we moved here. Every day we start the morning off by filling up the bird table and feeders and putting an egg out for the crows.

Most days we see Robins, Crows, Magpies, Jays, Woodpeckers, all kinds of Tits, Finches, Thrushes, Sparrows, Wood Pigeons, Doves, Blackbirds, Starlings and on some lucky occasions a Sparrowhawk. The sparrowhawk's kill in the photos is a dove which we had been feeding throughout the spring before it got attacked!

It's like having your own personal aviary together with their birdsong in the early summer mornings.
